The Antivirus Protection Solution from DPtech works together with DPtech IPS2000 series and is deployed at the core node on the network to perform in-depth virus scanning on inbound and outbound traffic. DPtech IPS2000 adopts the state-of-the-art dual virus scanning engines: Streaming virus scanning engine and file recovery virus scanning engine. Users can be provided with on-demand flexibility based on current network situations.
◆ Streaming virus scanning engine: Match files with the extracted virus features segment by segment. Once a match is found, the file will be determined as a virus file, and further actions such as alarming and blocking can be enabled. It provides a quick and accurate virus scanning and blocking. The engine is especially designed for viruses with high prevalence or scenarios with high scanning speed requirements.
◆ File recovery virus scanning engine: File segments are scanned to perform in-depth scanning and detection based on static scanning and dynamic scanning technologies. It helps scan all kinds of virus files accurately. The engine is especially design for viruses without high prevalence or scenarios with high scanning accuracy requirements.
With a virtual scanning engine, the DPtech IPS2000 can run files in a virtual environment, and track and record their behaviors. Based on big data statistics and behavior analysis technologies, it can effectively identify unknown threats, complementing traditional host-based antivirus solutions which fail to identify unknown viruses. In combination of dual virus scanning engines, new virus scanned in the virtual scanning engine can be extracted into key signatures, which will then be added the Streaming virus scanning engine to greatly improve antivirus scanning efficiency.
